Most field service software wasn't built for you. It was built for the company you might be in 5 years.
Pull up Jobber's pricing page. $29 a month for one user. Add four guys to the crew, you're at $145. Add a dispatcher, an estimator, and your wife who handles the invoices, you're past $230 before you've sent your first quote of the month. ServiceTitan won't even tell you the price until you book a call.
That's not a tool. That's an operating expense.
The 10 person crew problem
Here is the thing nobody is saying out loud.
The contractors who need this software the most, the ones still juggling jobs in spreadsheets and sending invoices from Word and taking payment by personal Venmo, are the ones priced out of every option that would actually help them. The big platforms are built for crews that already crossed the line where $300 a month feels small. If you haven't crossed it yet, you're stuck.
So you eat a cost you can't really afford. Or you keep doing it by hand and lose 10 hours a week to admin work that shouldn't exist in 2026.
Neither one is a great option.
That's $174 a month. $2,088 a year. Real money for a 10 person crew.
This is the gap Yvori fills.
The contractors who need software the most are the ones priced out of every option that would actually help them.
What we did differently
Four decisions, in order of how much they matter.
One. Price is the moat.
We're not trying to out feature Jobber. We're trying to out price them by an order of magnitude while shipping the 80% of features that actually matter for a small crew. Quotes. Invoices. Payments. Scheduling. Customer profiles. The other 20% is real software, advanced reporting, complex inventory, multi location franchise stuff, but if you're running a 1 to 10 person crew, you don't need any of it.
You need the basics, done well, on your phone, cheap.
Two. Flat plan. Low per seat.
Yvori Pro is $25 a month for one user. Adding a teammate costs $10. Add 9 more, you're at $125. Add 20, you're at $225. The math is the math. No cliffs, no Grow tier, no enterprise upsell, no annual contract.
If you've ever tried to add a 6th seat to Jobber and watched it bump you to a higher plan, you know what we're avoiding.
Three. Mobile first. Like, actually.
Most FSM tools were desktop apps that grew a phone version. The phone always feels like the second priority. We built Yvori the other way around. The phone is the primary tool because that's where you actually work. The web app exists for the office stuff, but if you never opened it, you'd still be fine.
Four. Your profile page is also your marketing.
Every Yvori contractor gets a public page at their own subdomain. Services, pricing, reviews, booking, all behind one link. Customers find it, see your work, request a quote. That's not invoicing software. That's a website that also happens to do invoicing.
You'd pay for either of those two things separately. With Yvori it's one tool, one price.
Why this works now
Two things changed in the last 24 months.
First, the cost of building software collapsed. What used to take a team of 10 in 2018 takes a small team or a solo founder in 2026. AI tools, better infra, smaller teams. That cost compression flows directly to what we can charge.
Second, contractors got more software aware than ever. A plumber running his business in 2026 grew up with apps. He has opinions about UX. He'll pay for software that respects his time. He won't pay for software that nickels and dimes him with per user fees and locks him into an annual contract.
The buyer changed. The economics changed. The incumbents didn't.

What we're building next
Over the next few months I'll keep writing here about the build, what's working, what's not. Some of what's coming:
- A free invoice generator for every trade. No signup needed. Use it forever, save it to an account if you want.
- Comparison pages with dated pricing and sourced claims. No vague "we're better" stuff. Just the math.
- A real directory of contractors you can book through, gated on quality so it doesn't fill up with junk.
- Cost data pages once we have enough transactions to publish actual numbers. Real medians. Updated monthly.
If you're a contractor who got priced out of Jobber or Housecall Pro, Yvori is being built for you. If you're another founder watching the FSM space, this is the wedge I think the incumbents can't defend against.
Either way. More soon.
